How to Teach Kids to Share without Forcing

by on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 12:01:00 PM

Teaching kids to share is an important part of parenting, we all want kids who are polite and good citizens. Toddlers are generally sharing averse, and teaching them to share is difficult. Most experts agree that most kids under three are low on empathy, which is a large part of sharing. Around three, kids start developing empathy and that is when they really start to comprehend sharing, though it doesn’t make it easier. Imagine if you were driving to work one day, and at a red light someone...

A ride-on toy is certainly a playtime staple for toddlers throughout the United States. Indeed, riding toys can be fun for children, they can be extremely soothing, and they can even help little ones develop balance and stability skills, two traits that are absolutely necessary when they start walking and running for the very first time. Of course, while there are a variety of riding toys available for toddlers today, there are a specific few that will provide ample benefits for your little...

What do kids learn through dress up play?

by on Monday, April 11, 2016 12:40:00 PM

Most kids love dressing up in Mom or Dad’s clothes, wearing costumes, and pretending to be a doctor, parent, or astronaut. You can give your child a costume and they will be occupied for hours. Playing dress up is not only fun, it also is a learning tool for children. Today’s topic will talk about what kids can learn from dressing up in costumes, and how parents and guardians can encourage it. Learning empathy There is a lot of debate whether we are born with empathy or if it is learned. What...

Build the Perfect Reading Space for Your Toddler

by on Friday, February 12, 2016 7:00:00 AM

Many of us understand the importance of a quiet and comfortable location when reading a book, either for the purpose of learning, or simply for pleasure and relaxation. The complete absence of voices and other noisy distractions, coupled with an ambience in which we can feel at peace, provides a space in which our minds can easily digest the words on the page. And, with this in mind, it may come as no surprise to many that one of the best ways to help your toddlers learn to read for the very...

Social Skills: Playtime Just as Important as Class Time

by on Friday, August 28, 2015 8:00:00 AM

With the school year back in session, many parents are doing everything in their power to ensure that children retain as much as possible each day from the hours spent in the classroom. And, in general, this involves focusing on subjects learned in class, as well as smart study habits and how to excel in a variety of educational arenas. Of course, the importance of class time cannot be overstated; students should always be encouraged to give a full effort to their studies, both in class and at...

How to Choose Toys to Keep Energetic Toddlers Interested

by on Friday, May 08, 2015 1:13:00 PM

We know the attention span of a toddler can be remarkably short. One moment a two-year-old child may be fixated on a car driving down the street outside of the window, and the next he may be trying to figure out how to work a brand new toy. Of course, because of this high-energy nature, choosing the right toddler toys to keep your toddler interested can be a difficult task. At Imagine Toys®, we understand the stress that goes into picking toddler toys. But there’s no need for concern –...

Our Favorite Toys for Toddlers Ages 3-4

by on Wednesday, April 08, 2015 12:04:00 PM

It is rare to find a toddler who isn’t extremely curious about his or her surroundings. Children ages three and four have begun to develop cognitive senses and the ability to speak coherently, and generally use these capabilities to understand more about the world around them. And, of course, they often do so through the use of toys and other educational and interactive children’s activities. As such, at Imagine Toys®, we offer a wide array of children’s toys for little ones ages three and...

It's truly rare these days that a company not only stands behind its products, but also its customers. I have ordered a number of times from Imagine Toys, and will continue to do so for a long time to come. Everyone I have dealt with, whether through email, chat box, or on the phone, has been so pleasant and accommodating. It truly means a lot. Many thanks,
