My 3 year old daughter got this as a Christmas present. She loves it. It's pretty sturdy as it's been dropped and thrown several times and it's a great break from the typical electronic guitar toys since it's not as loud. The size of it is perfect, my 3 year old is small, the size of an average 2 year old and she has no problems carrying it or getting her arms around it to play.
